Getting started
How does Habit of Care work?
Providers create a care direction, invite clients, assign or automate between-session activities, review progress signals, and use the latest context to guide the next appointment.
Who is Habit of Care designed for?
Habit of Care is designed for behavioral health providers and care teams, including therapists, social workers, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, care managers, occupational therapists, primary care behavioral health teams, and structured programs.
How long does setup take?
A provider can create a workspace, invite a client, and assign an initial activity in a short setup flow. Team configuration, templates, security review, and organization rollout may require additional planning.
Does a client need to download an app?
Clients can use the Habit of Living mobile app, and web access is available for supported workflows. The mobile app provides the most complete client experience.
Care workflow
What can providers assign?
The library supports journals, cognitive and behavioral skills, habits, goals, check-ins, assessments, trackers, breathing exercises, visualizations, and other structured activities. Availability can vary by product configuration.
Can providers create their own plans and templates?
Providers can create structured improvement plans, tailor activities, save reusable templates, and adjust work for an individual client.
Can the platform be used without automation?
Yes. Providers can manage plans and assignments directly. Agent-supported workflows are optional and can be configured, reviewed, adjusted, or paused.
What does a provider review before the next appointment?
The provider workspace can bring together recent completion, check-ins, reflections, progress patterns, summaries, and other shared activity relevant to the care plan.
Client experience
How does a client connect with a provider?
A provider sends a private invitation. The client reviews the request and chooses whether to accept the connection before a shared workflow begins.
What does a client see?
Clients see assigned activities, due dates, check-ins, reflections, progress, messages, and streaks in a focused mobile and web experience.
Can a client decline a provider invitation?
Yes. A client can decline an unexpected or unwanted connection request.
Can clients see progress?
Yes. Supported views show completed work, streaks, milestones, and other progress signals relevant to the care workflow.
Privacy and security
How is personal information protected?
The privacy program describes safeguards that include encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, multi-factor authentication where available, security assessments, vulnerability management, data minimization, and staff training. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Does Habit of Care offer a Business Associate Agreement?
Habit of Care terms contemplate a Business Associate Agreement when a customer is a covered entity under HIPAA. Specific obligations depend on the executed agreement and applicable law.
Who can access client information?
Access is limited by approved provider connections, workspace roles, permissions, and applicable agreements. Customers are responsible for authorizing only the workforce members who need access.
Where can privacy details be reviewed?
The public privacy policy explains collection, use, sharing, retention, safeguards, and individual rights. Separate privacy terms may also apply to the Habit of Living client app.
