Frame the reflection

  • Identify the relationship context and purpose with the client.
  • Use neutral language that does not assign blame or state an unverified conclusion.
  • Consider privacy and safety before inviting written detail about another person.

Connect reflection to action

Review themes with the client and identify a manageable next step, boundary, communication choice, or further assessment as appropriate.
