Plans & assignments
Incomplete and rejected assignments
Use assignment status as a prompt for conversation, not a conclusion about motivation or progress.
Understand the status
- Incomplete or overdue means the recorded completion did not occur by the expected time.
- Rejected indicates the client declined the assignment in the supported client flow.
- A status does not explain why the activity was not completed.
Follow up constructively
- Ask whether the purpose, instructions, timing, privacy, or accessibility created a barrier.
- Decide together whether to clarify, reschedule, replace, or stop the activity.
- Update the plan so it reflects the current agreement rather than repeatedly resending an unsuitable task.
Read completion in context
Keep in mind
Use assignment completion as one workflow signal alongside the client’s experience, care goals, and other appropriate measures.
